Candice Kowalec: wait...i have a blog?

okay, so it's been over a month since i posted last. i know, i know, i'm such a terrible blogger. here's an update of what's been going on since thanksgiving...

thanksgiving weekend ended with matt's last race of the season. i was by no means a nascar/racing fan at all before dating matt, and knew nothing about it. this last year i've learned so much about racing, and i actually started to really love to watch him race, so i'm sad that this was his last year racing the super truck. anyway, matt got 2nd place! obviously very proud of my boy, he definitely deserved it because he works so incredibly hard.

onto other news, i found out that i have more classes left before i graduate than i thought. soooo, being the lucky duck that i am, i will be taking classes until fall of 2012, and graduating next january. even though most of my friends already graduated LAST YEAR, i've come to terms with graduating a year and half after everyone.

last night, we had our annual gingerbread house decorating. last year around this time when we had our first gingerbread decorating "get together", matt and i had just started dating. so, i decided to invite him. my family being my family, things got a little crazy, and seriously competitive. we were all accusing each other of cheating by looking at the other teams house, and at one point during the night, we had to put a divider up in the middle of the table. candy was being stolen from each side, and i went as far as to take part of it in a different room so my brother and brooke couldnt steal matt and my idea. here are some pictures from last year:

this year, we had alot more participation happening. my aunt and uncle, and brooke, and my mom and dad and matt and i all were decorating houses. last year we homemade the gingerbread houses but this year apparently we got a little lazy and just bought some. either way, it was a ton of fun and we can't wait for next year!
